Purposes of Impregnation
Metal casting is made from injection of liquid metal into molds, and because of the mass production with low cost and consistent quality, it is widely used by general public.
In recent years, casting technology has significantly grown, and it is mostly used for mass productions, such as car engines and its related products. However, at the same time, the existent problems are also well-known. One of the problems is that micro holes and Sand hole will be resulted during the shrinkage. After repeated processing of casting with micro holes existing, liquid and gas leak may occur. If the design of castings is complex, it is not easy to prevent micro holes formation, and will be treated as the detected product. Thus, it increases the manufacturing costs of qualified products to affect the production plan arrangement.
If castings undergo impregnation treatment, the product qualification rate can reach almost 100% to lower manufacturing costs but also improve the quality and quantity of production. Our company applies impregnation treatment for defected castings to be qualified within short processing time and low cost.
